Anja Kirsten studied sociology at the Technical University of Dresden in combination with the subjects of psychology and law. She then worked as a consultant in the press office of the Saxon State Ministry of Justice. Since 2014 she has been responsible for the management of the prison in Dresden, among other things, for the development of new treatment measures and the coordination of treatment options for prisoners.
