Materials: The "Lumber Jack" - model were mostly made of aluminum - this resulted in a great saving in weight - this saving in weight is required because the double oscillating steam engine was made of brass. The locomotive can also be reversed in its direction of travel using a small lever in the front area - this means it can drive both forwards and backwards.
Drawings: The steam engine character set, which originally came from the Internet, was virtually constructed and confirmed using Inventor 2007, so that the newly created character set hardly has anything from the original data set.
Production: During the implementation (production) of the steam locomotive model, the individual parts were produced on the various cutting machines. The exact fit of the individual components was essential in order to ensure the success of the overall project.
Working time: The total time required to implement the "Lumber Jack" project was approx. 210 working hours.
Size: The dimensions of the steam locomotive are approximately 90 x 245 x 140 mm and a track width of 45 mm.
Construction costs: The construction costs amounted to approx. 340 euros.
