German - German

Views of the North African country of Morocco. Subjective, beautiful, dreamy, versatile. A visual tour through the country, its history and diversity.

from the content
“Merhaba” is the greeting in Morocco, a country that is just as far from the Middle East as it is from Germany and yet evokes images of the Orient in us, stories from the Arabian Nights, a country that we associate with strange customs and a foreign religion, another century, maybe even another millennium. And Morocco in particular is one of the most European countries in the Arab world.

Picutures of the northern african state of Morocco. Subjective, beautiful, dreamy, miscellaneous. A visual journey around the country, its history and versatility.

From the content

“Merhaba” is the traditional greeting in Morocco, a land which is just as distant from the Middle East as it is from Germany and yet still invokes in our minds images of the Orient and tales from One Thousand and One Nights, a land which we associate with strange customs and a foreign religion, another century and perhaps even another millennium. In spite of this, Morocco is in fact one of the countries with the strongest European influence in the Arab world.

Content

"Merhaba" is the term we use to greet each other in Morocco, a country certainly as far from the Middle East as from Germany, but which awakens in us images of the East, the tales of the Thousand and One Nights. We associate it with exotic customs and a foreign religion; to another century, even to another millennium. Morocco, precisely, is one of the countries of the Arab world most marked by Europe.
